Having some slow leak issues.
pretty sick of stopping every 30mins to re-pump so decided to repair it finally.

ive got one of those Naish octopus systems. Ive heard it can be a bit tricky to assemble / disassemble (and sometimes more expensive with some kite repair places)...
..... does any body have any tips??
.... any body done an octopus repair have any advice or 'need to know' info??
.... can anybody tell me where I can get some more info about octo assembly etc??

Thanks people!

Did you even try searching for this ?

Took exactly 10 seconds to find this video:

There are also a few forum threads that talk about it including on Seabreeze, just google: fixing naish octopus.

The first step is to locate your leak(s) which shouldn't be that hard considering you're loosing air in 30 minutes. Over-inflate your kite a bit (so it's easier to find leaks) and spray soapy water along the LE and Struts. Start with the valves as they are often the culprit. If you have a leak in the LE you don't always have to remove the whole LE to fix it, sometimes only half of it, sometimes (if the leak is close to the middle zipper or the wing tips) you can just pull out that area, fix it and put in back in without removing the whole bladder.

Give it an octopus , they're the only ones that know wtf is going on with that, pretty good description as I've changed colour from white to red with frustration, it's beyond most gynecologist skills

If you can find someone skilled enough to convert it to multiple point inflation I would go that route. Funny thing here on O'ahu, there is not a single shop or independent repair person who will even touch Naish kites. Oh, wait the Naish shop will, for $200! No thanks. I don't have a problem with the kites themselves and I've owned a few, but I think most of the guys flying them upgrade every year. Otherwise too much of a pain when they hit the 3 year old mark and all those internal plastic bits fall apart. If you need a how to for converting Naish to multiple point inflation let me know, I will get the details from the expert.

Check your valves before pulling the bladders out... they may be starting to unglue where they attach to the bladder or the valve "plugs" may be getting a bit loose.
