Narrabeen Surf Beach is fine..and Balmoral Boards (new Narrabeen Store) operate a Kite School there on the Beach with Ben - (good feedback!)
Narrabeen Lakes is not really on, as too gusty..and not really good in any wind direction, unless strong winds...a light N.E doesn't work..an Easterly would work, as would a S.E. off Wakehurst Pkw, however the numbers of other people crowding the area would make it hard....
Pittwater inside near Barrenjoey is where i spent 7 years operating, so know it well...however the Seaplanes have caused the banning of kites up the Northern end. J.B. Messenger lives at Palmie and has done heaps of kiting there..however they had to launch from the Beach Road Restaurant dead end road to access the beach and kite across to little Mackeral beach..good kiting there...
Palmie surf side is also popular and heaps kite there in the right wind...
You are better off however going to Botany Bay or up here at Winda Woppa (hawks nest for the not so locals!). We've been operating here for 20 years and love the area...huge beaches, reasonably quiet beaches, not too many padestrians......nice waters...
