Good point Damo! This is a once a year affaire of interest to many. By not having the venu sorted within at least 6 months does make scheduling problematic. It is surprising to me that the AKSA web site would have no information on this. In fact, I just looked at the site and it seems out of date.

Which State's turn is it anyway? I tell you, pick a great place like Gero and just always have it there. Regular place, regular date...and pick the best place in all of Kangaroo land....it is the nationals, isn't it?

I heard the wave titles were going to be in NSW and the flatwater titles in QLD. This was something to do with them 'cycling around the country' - but I have no idea how this rationale works.

rather than trying to be fair to everyone they should just pick places that have great consistent wind. having lots of people fly all over the country to sit around listening to rap music while 5 knots of puss wind blows in is lame.

How does that work, QLD had the nationals like 3 years ago. From memory it was St.Kilda, Gero, Gold Coast? Maybe somewhere in NSW or SA if they are truly gonna cycle it around.

I don't think it has much to do with cycling around, i think it's about who is prepared from which state to donate time and effort to organise it, and about some1 making a decision early so that the organising can occur

I'm pretty sure an announcement will be made soon. The process of choosing a location is underway, formal submissions have been called for a while back.

Surely WA has submitted hirsch?

Wake-progessive-grommet wins all the time, judging spot on. It ain't a carnival, but maybe it should be.

Now all we need is prize money...like enough to make it worth while for the top 30-50 riders to make the trip.

Does any one know the total prize money at the last nationals?
