I’d personally like to thank the AKRM BOYS for the huge effort on the weekend. It was an awesome day thanks to the good conditions and a good crew.
The 15mtr A frame/fun box was the highlight of the event. At first because of the size off the fun box some off the groms where a bit shy of it. But it wasn’t long before that was over taken by fun.
Thanks to the Prest brothers things swang into action. The groms received personal coaching from the best slider riders in the country.
Tony Prest had his sliding down pat and was doing flat threes gapping the 7.5mtr flat section and landing on the down ramp. The standard of riding just got better as the day went on, and many off the riders rode all day.
There was a lot off hype about the 15mrt fun box before the event, some thought it wouldn’t float, some said it would tip over, others said it would fall apart. So there was a real buzz at the boat ramp in the morning when everyone knew we were going to get wind. It took about some time to bolt the back and front ramps on, it was just like a big makarno set. Once the box was in the water , the motor was started and off it went motoring over to the island. Watching this 15mrt box under its own power was something else. I personally never have seen anything like it, and I think maybe it could be a first in Aust. Its good to see the Onedge crew and the AKRM BOYS work as a team and put together an event many will remember. Wake style and slider riding is a big part off of the sport, and is here to stay. I can’t wait for the next jam session , I hear it’s going to get bigger and better. Stay tuned on this sight and get the dates for the next RAIL JAM it will be Electric
Happy days MRWHITE AKRM
