I have one. Good all-round kite compared to the later models, low end is a little lacking though.

There is a few threads on the C4 one that is 10 pages long in the gear review section.

What style of riding are you in to?

I've got 2012 C4s which is very similar, and at first I hated them and wished I bought an Edge or something a bit more freeride, but as I'm progressing I'm enjoying it much more.
If you want to just boost and free ride than the Edge is the go.
I bought mine to progress in kiteloops, unhooked, and ride in the surf from time to time. As the old saying goes it's how you use it.

If that's the type of riding you do then they are great. I've also heard some good things about the Blade Trigger. All depends on your style.

2011 c4 is the best c4 imo for general riding. such a nice do everything kite.

ask about the bladder. some 2011 c4's have potentially delaminating bladders. tho if it hasn't delaminated by now then it will be all good.

check the attachment points at the kite for the bridles. they tend to wear after a year or 2's hard riding. replace if nesseccary.

Josh, if you're a beginner then the 2011 C4 will be fine so long as you've had some decent lessons and initially set it up on the freeride setting (knots closest to the leading edge at the middle of the front bridles) which offers more depower at the bar.

The kite flying and edging skills you'll learn from a C4 will put you on a faster learning curve than those who opt for a more bow/delta beginners' kite. The 2011s were great high-performance all-rounders.

The bladder issues related to a batch where the valve was delaminating from the bladder - replacement bladders were issued and should still be available - check with the owner. Ozone will also be able to tell you via the kite's serial number if it was one of the affected batch or not.

If it's in good condition, go for it. Depending on your weight you may want to add an 8m Catalyst to round out your quiver - it will run on the same bar. An 8m C4 may be a bit lively if you're still a beginner.

Exactly the same quiver I have and am learning on 2011 11m C4 and a 2011 8m Catalyst. Good combo.

I have

13 edge
10 c4
8cat
6reo.

a lot of the time I hunker for more than 10m sub 20 knots. but when it hits 20-25 im grinning on the 10.

So yes 11 c4 8 cat would be a good combo.
