i`ve seen only 2 prices so far and they were a long way apart $355 usd and $999 aus . i think the aussie price is high due to availabity.

Price is high and you dont need 10Mp! weight is also important. My W20 does affect the turning speed of the kite.

Higher resolution and better image quality is always welcome. IMO the image quality of the W30 was pretty crap compared to my 5 MP Canon.
I have a home made kite cam rig that isn't getting any action since my W30 flooded while snorkelling in about 2m....if anyone wants it for parts send me a PM.
I think Pentax had a lot of issues with flooded W30's, I just hope the water proofing is better on the W60.

I loove my W30, and this new W60 looks awesome:

The Pentax Optio W60 can capture movies at resolutions as high as 1280 x 720 pixels, which is comparable to HDTV resolution.

Kook kiting in HD!

I'd suggest 10Mp is handy if you need to clip & zoom the photos (which happens when the camera has moved in the mounting on the kite...you can end up with a 5MP image

Movies: Yes, 1280 x 720, 15fps, 640 x 480, 320 x 240 30/15 fps

from http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Pentax/pentax_optiow60.asp

15 fps (frames per sec) isn't enough for decent movies. My Olympus SW720 only records at this rate and they look pretty jerky. This pretty much makes the 1280x720 mode irrelevant - you'd use 640x480 to get a better result.

It's a pity, otherwise this camera would be on the must-have list for sure.

Specs quoted in this review also state "Timelapse recording: No" which I find a little strange?

Is it standard that most cams will be cheaper in the US than in Aus? Will postage make up for the rest seeings as you will have buy insurance etc?

I got one of the Olympus 1030SW's great cameras, bit pricy at $600 Aus but worth it. Works under water up to 10m, 100kg crush proof, and 2m shockproof. Great little camera and takes nice underwater pictures even with out a housing.
