hi there

i am coming out to Perth for a few weeks mid December but am only planning on bringing two kites.

Am thinking 9m and 12m or 8m and 11m

Any recommendations. I am 85-90 kgs, predominantly free riding on a twin tip.

thanks folks

Keep an eye on www.seabreeze.com.au/weather/wa/perth

Woodmans Point (Woodies) will be the closest spot to Coogee - refer to the Garden Island chart.

I would've thought your 8 and 11 would be ideal - 11 for under 22 knots, 8 for over?

We've had afternoons gusting 25-30knots the last few days - would you put an 8 or 9 up?

I am 96kg and I would go 9 and 12m. I do ride a small board for my size though.

9and 12 would cover the more common conditions, the seabreezes here are most often high teens to low twenties but then it does occasionally get up around the 25 to 30 mark at which point you would be overpowered ( or boosting like a demon)

Also watch out for break ins at woodies only park your car in the busy carparks right down the end of the point

All - thanks for all the comments. sounds pretty sweet to me. tend to prefer to be overpowered than under, as long as there are others out, and as long as the wind is clean. not a big fan of self launching or landing when it is nuking.

can't wait

If you come to the Midwest bring your 8 for sure unless you are a giant!

I'd go 8 and 12 for max range. I'm 97kg and use 9 + 13 mostly. Plenty of good value kites on second hand market here aswell

Travelling?
I'd bring 1 kite
The 9 will be all you should need
If overpowered you can work on boosts
If underpowered you can work on loops and rolls

I'd go biggest and smallest to cover good and bad.

Shortie at least or long summer suit if you're susceptible to the cold like I am.
and long sleeved something 'cause we got a few stinging bluebottle jellyfish right now. ( They're not that bad but they itch for days)
