I have flown both the Boxer SLE and Shockwave SLE. Both kites offer an amazing depower range, and super responsive performance. Please note that these kites are not "BOW" kites, they fly very different to a "BOW" kite, their performance is more comparable to a "C" or "HYBRID" but with the depower of a "BOW". The Shockwave offers a bit more performance than the boxer, it has a higher lift producing profile, which enables it to perform massive airs, and ride at ridiculous speeds totally in control. The Boxer is by far the easierst kite I have ever flown, so predictable, and easy to use, and it performs better than many top end kites on the market! The jumps you can acheive on the boxer will amaze you! Both kites for 2007 have the option standard to sellect either 2:1 operation or 1:1 operation, this conversion seriously only takes 2 seconds. The 2:1 operation is great for super gusty gnarly conditions where you want as much range in your sheeting as possible, however you will experience the standard bridal kite bar pressure (which is much lighter this year). The 1:1 operation is great for conditions where such a drastic amount of depower is not needed, the bar pressure becomes super light, steering and sheeting is achievable with single hand operation (This is my personal choice of operation in all conditions, the kite still has more depower in this mode than most "Hybrid's" and definately all "C's").
Both kites are great in the waves, the boxer because of it's ease of use is great for the beginner of easy rider in the waves, and shockwave definately has the performance not to be out riden by any rider of any level!
I hope this has helped you with your inquiry, I urge you to try and organize a demo if possible, but if this is not available, I would trust that any purchase would not be regretted.
Merry Christmas,
regards,
JB
