I've got a 17m CO2 and a 13m Deisel.

A word of warning - or an opportunity for someone to point out where I stuffed up if appropriate

I have previously had the chicken loop on the slingshot bar accidently unhook whilst trying to relaunch the Deisel. This tripped the safety (leash) and the bar disappaered into the distance as the kite twisted itself in the shorebreak and the lines spaghettied themselves.

So I thought I would be clever and use the recon1 bar from my 17m, as the chicken loop doesn't come off accidently and the central release seemed unlikely to result in the same tangled mess if I should happen to need to release it. Both kites/bars have the reverse launch thingy so they seemed compatible.

Then came the time to self land the Deisel on the recon bar - unfortunately when the front lines release, far from the kite floating to the ground gently (like in the videos) the now taught back lines effectively powered up the back edge of the kite, causing it to thrash around. It was about 20kts at the time - I don't know if that is relevant.

Anyway, I think I'll just get the clip thingy for the slingshot bar to stop it coming off accidently and not mix things up again.

If I'm missing something (now be kind) please let me know, cause I rather like the absence of the leash on the recon option - other suggestions for bar option also welcome.
