A Kite surfer being blown out to sea was rescued after being spotted by a passer-by. The 28-year-old got into difficulty off Dornoch on Saturday afternoon. He was seen when he was about quarter-of-a-mile out to sea, struggling but failing to get back towards land, at about 3.05pm. The Dornoch inshore independent rescue boat was launched and the Dornoch Coastguard team tasked. The kite surfer was rescued in less than 15 minutes.
