surfingboye said..You have made the switch
@dafish?
I have never felt as if the Reo is unstable. They handle gusty winds really well and you can dump all their power mid turn just by letting the bar out. Maybe your kite wasn't pumped hard enough? I like mine rock hard (not like other things

)
Ya dude, made the switch this season. Though I was happy with my last kites, it was time for a change. I had flown the Reos and knew the characteristics were similar to what I was flying before so I am pretty happy and there really is no adjustment for me, except I might be using shorter lines on the 8. Will test to see how I like it. Overall I am loving them. I have had one thing happen that I heard rumors about and that the struts were too small. I did some digging to find out. While out foiling a few weeks ago I found out what they were saying first hand. I had a hard stack and tomahawked my kite straight down wind. Impact flexed the middle strut and buried it in the water and it stopped the kite from filling up with air and wouldn't relaunch. I had to mess with it a bit to fill it back up but it didn't take but a few seconds. Had I done that in the surf there would have been no relaunch and I would have released. No big deal really, but I do think the extra few pumps does matter so it's something to be vigilant about.
Now a few more waves would not go astray down here ;)
