As I try to progress from riding up and down with small jumps here and there (that feel huge - maybe they are?)I am trying to try a few new moves like bigger air, rotations, transitions which would all be easier if my mate never lost my complete kiteboarding guide - the 4 hr dvd by naish.

one thing that has me more stumped than that hot chick which wont have a coffee with me - I guess a shag is outa the question is this....

what is the diference between riding blind and toeside..?

riding to the left - left foot forward = heelside, riding to the left with right foot forward = toeside...

and vice versa - so where does riding blind fit into the picture? is it just a matter of if you make the 180 degree turn so that the kite is wrapped around you?



1) kite at 9 o'clock (__) (going left)
left right (feet) (heel side)


2)kite at 9 o'clock (__) (going left)
right left (feet) (toe side)

in above example - if right foot switches in front of left foot this is change to toeside but if it flips around the back (you turn away from the kite) then this is blind - ie the kite bar will be pulling accross your body?

I guess that is it I have just figured it out - well will post it anyways as I gone to this much trouble!

'kay: blind and toeside are to do with the bar position relative to your body...

Toeside: riding on the toe rail, bar on the front hip

Blind: riding on the toe rail, bar coming round the back hip

Look it like that regardless of the direction youre travelling. Because of the bar position in blind, you will be travlleing backwards (hence the name). Riding blind hooked in is quite easy, the biggest tip is to take your back hand off the bar as you swicth round and use the old front hand on the WRONG side of the bar - this will stop the kite diving in to the water.

thanks em - vodka would be inappropriate at 1030 in the morning at work -
btw my take on it is this......
guys and girls may both struggle to get laid from time to time - its because both sexes are trying to find a mate which is 'healthier' than they are for their own offspring to have the best chance of survival - picking up is easy for either side when they lower their standards - but... not so fulfilling is it! ?

someone say chick problems? I have chick problems - who can i turn to? lol
