I second what Kitecrazzzy said, that bus trip was death full of stoned, drunk and spaco bogans. Kiteboy can prob tell you where to kite,

I just picked up on this thread to have a read, and without trying to be harsh or critical, if I was this kid I'd be a bit disappointed in the lack of interest in giving him any advice or answering his actual query. Seems like a few that have replied actually would know the answers he was looking for, and he asked nicely, so why not give him a straight answer? Just my 2 cents. Take it easy.

if you want flat water, safety bay is the best.
you have never seen a water that flat: like a swimming pool even with 30 knots.
you can kite at the right of safety bay when you look at the sea, there is more flat water and more space on the beach.

you can also go to pinguin island on the sand banc between the island and the shore, but safety bay is better i think

juste be carefull, there is a boat just in the middle of the spot. I saw twice a kite in its mast.

you have to share the spot with windsurfer, because there is a lot of them.

enjoy the spot for me.

hey, i was passing on very valuable info, they thought we had kayaks in our bags and then we almost got thrown off the bus because they were smoking up the back.
then more got on and some substance abuse started and ... well myes myes will never be the same again (fat, stoned chick was trying to hit on him/offer her spray/collapse on him ... she smelt like she had bathed in her own puke)

then the train was funny but thats a story for another day
