Alex Sans profession is kiteing, it is his right to be here and talk without getting his name spelled in shuffle.

Rowdy, pretty surprised you've thrown some support his way bro, nothing legit about this bloke and you should know I'm not taking the piss here. Still, everyone entitled to their own opinion.

KitingCasey, whereas you took Gropers comments as an attempt at humour I in fact took it as a very accurate summation of this bloke.

And Kadkhah, whilst you think I and others are bullies you appear to me to be very nieve. If you believe that this thinly veiled post is really about Saving the Planet then I don't really know what to say. It is nothing more than another post screaming "Look at me, look at me!"

I don't know the guy personally either, but I do know that in his 42 posts now there has not been one that hasn't been about himself. Christ, it took at least half of those before he started threads that weren't his own name. You don't have to delve too deep to see this guy for what he is. Look at his vids on youtube, skiting I believe he calls it through crowds on Bondi. Apparently noone ever complains though, only kiters. Well, I would be interested to know how he would even know this. He knows kiters complain because he comes here and gives them the opportunity to voice their disdain. Tell me where the person that was out walking and nearly had their head taken off by some strawb on a kite and half a skateboard under each foot goes to complain in any case.

There have been other posts that have dealt with this and whilst I don't personally know Smedg, he has contributed enough for me to form the opinion that he is a reasonable and intelligent bloke that actually has something to contribute. That being said, perhaps you should read some of what he has to say on Alex Sanz and his, what did you call it, his 'profession' and see how his professional approach has impacted on some beaches on the east coast.

This bloke is a narcisist and even when writing this I know that it will only serve to inflate his already large ego. Attention, positive or negative is what he thrives on and he gets it by the bucket load here.

There you go. Long winded post = Yes. Worthwhile = probably not.

And with that, a self imposed ban on any future posts by Alex Sanz commences.

Like I keep saying it's only about 5 people on the forums that give me **** and they don't even know me, I work it on %.

The thing is I have a very large group of kids that love what I have to offer and also a few newbies in kitsports as well.

you guys already know how to kitesurf why do you need me?? or what I have to say??

It's like I don't need you or what you have to say. I just have lots of kite content and if you don't want to watch it, Thats fine. I'll keep doing what I have been doing, that is upload to youtube and if you wqant to see it look there,!!!

I have also lived my life as green as I possibly can, bio fuels and before that I rode a pushbike instead of burning fossil fuel for over 20 years!!, been on solar power for the last 12 years and trying to develop alternative ways of personal transportation.

However, Everyone of Alex's treads reaks of self promoting advertising IMO. I always flag them as such but they remain anyway.

I have PM'ed Alex several times in an attempt to communicate issues in an appropriate and less public fashion than slanging on forums. However, His responses have ranged from "I'm not reading your essay, its too long. You must be jealous of me." (edited to be readable) To, "You talk about me so much, you must want my body" (also edited to make sense.)

Communicating issues I have regarding Alex's behaviours to Alex are of no avail IMO.

I see him as being bad for our sport via dangerous kiting behaviour and misrepresentation of our sport via telling lies to the public about kitesurfing in order to push his products.

Do you think his threads are self advertising. His business name and or videos and products are always mentioned. Even his Profile is advertising.

Let me know your thoughts here or via pm as you see fit.

Maybe if you paid for the lesson at Kirra you would have a different view of me.

I remember you now, You stuck to my side picking my brain for hours, I remember because I thought you where a bit strange. I think I felt sorry for you and you would not go away untill I gave you a fly of a kite.

Alex, your post above confuses me and may confuse others as well. You may want to clarify which parts you mean or think are true and which parts you are making up or joking about if you want to make sure we know exactly what you are saying. (Although, I think I get the gist)

Remember though that, you only know that we've met because I reiterated our meeting (and all the lies you told me to push your products) in a pm to you after you claimed I don't know you.

Remember how I listed all the lies you told me about kitesurfing, listed all the unsafe things i've seen you do, then asked you to kite safely in future.

Perhaps you don't remember. Perhaps you really didn't read my Essay as you called it. Either way, I (and possibly many other kiters and the general public) would greatly appreciate it if you could do your best to kite in a safe way, not scare others and be careful to only give helpful and truthful advice about kitesurfing to others.

You don't get it !! the way kitesurfing has been taught is so dangerous and it has to change !!

I believe kitesports method of teaching is the only way for the sport to move forward.
