Recently purchased a North Rebel 12m. Having trouble self launching on the beach. Used to launching 'C' kites with ease. Any tips on how to do it?

Hi

self launch the rebel is easy. just make sure you have the lines set up correctly before you attempt to do it. Keep the kite out at the seaward side of the window just in case anything goes wrong. Flip one wing tip so that the leading edge bladder runs parralel with it. Flip the trailing edge forward. It will be a triangular shape fold. I found it easy if you kept the kite a little bit more downwind when launching. Try to keep the bar out and pull it in towards you to to power it up. When the kite launches into the air...let the bar back out.

Note keep the micro hook turned up and stopper forward so you dont accidently hook in or stay powered up.

tried it today and was successful both times. You need to make sure that the kite is folded past the front pigtail.
