I thought these would be the bees knees people but after tryin em i am now not so sure.
Any feedback i think will be helpfull to others so feel free to add comment on new boards u have tried/bought.

tried the Airush misfit 120 and man was it a weird feeling compared to normal. This board is 120 x 43 (thats right) and is pretty much square and hardly any rocker at all.
I went out in gusty winds so it prob didnt help but found in choppy conditions the front heelside corner kept wanting to go down. When the wind was down it was hard to balance. but when jumping it felt like u had nothing on ur feet, was awesome. i see this is the advantage of them here. I think the conditions required for these are flat water and steady winds. It would be a good for somewhere like peli point or woodies so u can have a big kite on board and boost high and freestyle ur heart away. i am also thinkin u need to ride much differently, with a lot more back foot pressure seeing u dont have a nose n u go down quick like a submarine...
i also tried the airush switch 143, a bit bigger and much easier in lighter winds. this thing just scoots upwind with no effort at all but it does pull u off an edge a bit when overpowered. i am used to a wakeboard solid edge feel and these two boards were much different and i wasnt as confident whn those strong gusts hit u and u have to edge hard. again i think a bit of getting used to it and also a bit of modifying stance n pressure etc. i also found these had wide noses too so watch the chop slaps...
again the lightness of this board was amazing for jumps and tricks.

all in all a good experience to test the way the shapes are going. to be honest i like my 140 wakeboard the best and until i find somethin that puts a bigger smile on my dial i will be sticking with it. i think it shows that all boards have pros n cons, just depends what u want to sacrifice.
one other board that does interest me is the naish stubbies. the shape is interesting especially the thick nose n tails for boyancy n anti nose diving. they are a lot heavier than the airushes tho.
anyone tried em yet?

My Kite Dr 110 x 38 is a copy of the underground SWT110. It goes sick in all conditions but loves flat water. It goes upwind like a demon but does require a heap of back foot. Now that Im used to it I love the looseness too.

I like it when you do that KITE DRRRRR.

I have the Misfit 115 and I love it.. It took a little bit to get used to but now its unreal.. when the gust hit you need to dig in the back foot real quick to make sure you dont loose it but other than that its great. It pops out of the water soo easy and doesnt get in the way doing loops. Also once you get going it absolutly cranks.

i think the 115 would definitely be the go,
it is much narrower especially at the tips so wouldnt grab as much.
i may give that a crack.
do u use a bigger kite or normal size?
what would ur range be (and ur weight)

I use a 10 flow with my 115 Misfit. And I weigh 54kg.. So for me its a great size. With the right size kite it feels really nice. I can use it from 14kn upto 23kn with the same kite...

The small wide boards are fun (i have tryed almost everyone thats out) but they are too set in what you can do. For example they are great in flat water for board off trixs take them out in chop and you get a headach from trying to get a decent jump without spray going in your face or your heelside catching. They cant wave ride for ****, as soon as you get speed up in a turn the back slides out. Also trying to land/ride blind with them is really hard. Now i only use my 130 underground board it goes great in chop rides blind with ease, can be used in waves(still not as good as a mutant) and is lighter then any other production board i have seen. These benifits far outweight the cons of board offs being a little harder (besides boardoffs are fast becoming old news) Any body that wants to try the my underground 130 feel free my names Dan Anderson and i usally kite at woodies and have blue and whiite Gaastra kites. Warning once tried you will be hooked

Hey, Sue "DAN" mate i disagree with you on the point that short wide boards cant ride waves for ****.......I've been doing down wind runs from city beach to trigg of late with shane and i've been using my new addiction 130x40 (effectivly a 120x40) and mate it rips in the waves. i find i have better control over the kite on 30m lines because of the smaller surface area. I dont need 20m lines on my new kites as they turn very very very fast.

cant wait to get my blob when it arrives....in the next shipment.....

DAN you commin on the down winda this SAT.... you can get a lift back with shane and I.

I dont no what you mean by "i ride a 130 (effectivley a 120)" does this mean you are riding a 120 or 130 cause i was saying 130s ride waves pretty good. When you start getting to the 110 to 120 sizes then they start being a bit of a handfull in the waves. If you are getting good bottom turns and top turns riding a 120 in decent size waves then i admire your wave riding skills.

My 130 underground is actually a 2003 pro carbon wavetray which is the same shap as the normal wave tray 2003 but lots lighter. The new normal 2004 wave trays however have the same awesome shape but they are even lighter then my carbon one( and cheaper), which i am kind of jealous of.
