Damn... Richo. You must have been among the group I saw head off this arvo. I was over in the middle of the broadwater at the sandbank with Simon. We were giving a mate of mine some instruction and then intended coming over to the surf for a downwinder too.
Simon forgot to put the bung in the boat and it half filled with water while we were instructing. The water demolished his $1000 phone and sogged everything else in the boat.
We packed up and got over to the surf at 4pm only to have the wind die off.
Next Time .............
PS. Take care when rolling up the kite. Sounds like you may have had a fold in the main bladder when you inflated it.
