i've got an 11m fuel 05 & its the best. Really responsive & fast turning, lots of power when you need it, i would get one of every size in a split second if i could afford to.
I weigh about 68kg & have had the 11m out in around 12 knots (powered right up, just enough to get me goin on a 122 length board) right through to 25 knots, was right on my limit at 25 knots but still able to ride & get upwind easy.
I'm saving at the moment to get a 7m for 25 knots+ haven't tried a 7m fuel 05 yet but i'm sure it will be as good as my 11m.

Have to agree with Psylor.
Ive got an 04 11M Fuel and I love it but unless the 05's are dramatically different I cant back up his wind range Im about the same weight and (still relatively newbie) I need about 16kts to get going and just found its upper limit today at about 23.
Cant wait to get my 7M - asap.

haha thats gold

still have to make up my mind whether to go with a kite I know - wipika matrix - or go with something you hear so much about.
Anyone got any qualms with SS 05?? Anything you dont like...quality etc??

Yeah in 12 knots (with the Fuel 05 11m) i had the connectors set so my back lines were shorter & had the front lines on the second conector point labelled '2' on the kite so it was sitting further back in the window (more power) & had it powered right up with no depower at all & i was able to get goin which surprised me.....I was doin kite loops to turn alot of the time to keep up my speed, which was fun anyway. with a bigger board then a 122 it would have been sweet.

Go with the SS 7!

I've had mine 2 weeks, and I'm super impressed.
I'm 70 kg, and with a FLX 122 it is brilliant. I've flown it at ROTTO in 35 kn, and also had a great sail at Cott in only 20 kn.

For a small kite it is very predictable........no nasty descents from 20 feet when the wind backs off a little. Taking it to LANCELIN TOMORROW......its a great wave kite.

Oh, and another huge bonus. For a small kite, one pump is great, as getting small ribs inflated and tight is a pain otherwise.

It Hurts So Good!

i have the 05 7m fuel and it is sooooo good. haven't flown the wipikas recently . everyone has been loving the one pump and the 7m is so stable for a little kite. it is relitivey fast but not twitchy and u know exactly where it is with out looking at it...... and all the other sizes are sick toooo

Goofster, I'm a relative newby and I've got a 9m diesel and 13m fuel. I haven't had the 13 out that much, but have been rapped with the diesel. Easy to relaunch, copes with gusts really well. It's been great to learn on, I've been out on it from about 15 knots to about 27 knots. Only problem I've had is my valve keeps popping out on big hits. One pump rocks!

hey brooksy, what year is your diesel and is it 4 or 5 lines?
I',m about 85kg's and looking for something for 20+ knots. Does that sound like the right kite to you? Cheers,

My diesel is an 05 model, 4 lines. I was riding last week, in some of the really gusty strong stuff with no real probs. Shortened the front lines at the kite and had the depower about half on. You're about the same weight as me and I've found it to be perfect. I'm on a 142*38 board. Haven't tried it without the Auto-pilot system yet, but I'm told that turns it in to something like a fuel. Any one else tried?
Goofster, I'd say go for it!
