I'll be headding down to the snow this winter for the 1st time in 11 years, can anyone recomend where kitting is allowed near Perisher?
There might be a category somewhere on the forum but I haven't found it.

Kiting at perisher is a non-event.Over the last few years guys have tried in 6knots on the flats next to the carpark between tubetown and Kosciusko rd.Same place the guy with the orange kombi hired out windsurfers on skis in the mid 80s unsuccessfully...70 yr old Conrad has tried to kite on the hill opp. Nth P t-bar and Interceptor chair, said it was too gusty,he tried next to the carpark and got dragged over Kosciusko rd on his stomach. He was going to try Charlottes pass.I was there alot last season didn't see a kite .Everypart of the area has a different wind strength at the same time and very gusty.I recommend the flats next to the carpark when there is a good base for simply convenience,if its crap its easy to go skiing again quickly.
