hello all - got the option to go to sorrento this weekend. Havent been before and I have no doubt wife will want to shop while I want to kite..
so - I am taking the kites and a board...however, where is the best place to kite around sorrento. I regularly kite (read face plant and make fool of self) in rosebud and rye. However, sorrento looks great for kiting just no one talks about it..
it would be great to know.

From Sorrento, Rye opposite Safeway would be your best bet if its NWto NE - pretty much the rest of the beaches from there down are full of moored boats. If its southerly, I'm guessing you could go out at Portsea back beach... never done it though. Ask a local.

Sorrento got to many boat +a car ferry in your way. Then Blairgowrie got a very small beach area to set up on Rye or bay 14 carpark in Rosebud are your best bet when it North W to North E alway heap of guys kiteing there
