finally good news. i had my board stolen off the beach last summer. i have a new board which i love but on saturday a friend found my board in a hockshop. i told the salesman it could be mine and i could identify by deep scratches on the rail i got in queensland. he turned it over and there they were. then he told me he legally owned the board and could sell it until the police put a hold on it. i was pissed off and let him know. i also got a small warning from the police for threatning the attendant. but now the board is with the police waiting to be picked up. gotta be happy with that.

yeah big tip, if you ever have anything stolen and find it in a hock shop, dont alert the shop assistant as sometimes they will remove it so when the police arrive it's no longer there... Just call the police and let them come pick it up...
A mate of mine who managed at one many years ago told me that when I had a heap of gear stolen...
and to end it off i found my gear and called the police...

well the kid was seen looking suspicious and in a time frame of 15 mins i'd say the finger points at him.
come summer i will probably sell the board dirt cheap to a newbie. i think its always good to help these guys out. the price of gear can be daunting to some and i hate to see learners struggle. okay a couple of good drags up the beach are always fun to watch as long as they don't do too much damage to them self or others
