Just incase any of us.... probably most of us ignore the 40 kt squalls gererally associated with forecast isolated thunderstorms..... usually a player in the easterlies or bad fronts.... and you think the cloud doesn't look that bad... the other week it was blowing under 20 kts cross onshore.... darkish cloud coming looking very grey", even some pink... got a 51 kt gust!
and was solid 40-50 kts for around 20 mins.........untill it passed....then back to 15-17kts ish!!!
