Anyone ever put straps on a skimboard? If so how? and how was the performance, ie edging? would it be more prone to snapping? thanks,

i was thinking the same thing. a strap would be cool maybe one of those ones that can sit flat with grip on top of it like a gorilla grip pad and then pull it up when you need a strap (mount it in the middle and can use it either foot) Maybe someone would know how to put it on. I was also thinking with the skimmer that retractable fins on one side at least would be good. It is good with no fins for riding on the wet sand and for riding sideways but trying to bottom turn it is impossible and frustrating. I bit of grip when you need it would be wicked- a step down fin system would be the go.

Is a skimboard just a shape cut out of a piece of plywood ?
Should be easy to make some different shapes.
