There is a very strong southerly working its way up the NSW coast.there is a small pre frontal trough ahead of it by about 30 mins around 10-15 kts with a major blow behind it high 30 kts .WATCH OUT!!
Hit the Central Coast (Berkeley Vale where I work) a short time ago. The entire office flooded to the windows with general gasps at the strength and sound of it, and at the sight of the trees bending over.
They think I am going to break my neck going out it in! Heading out at 3:30 can't wait...
Hey Justin, where did you end up going out? I work at Berkley vale too and was lookin forward to getting amoungst those green arrows at 4.30 but that southerly was too strong. Had a look at chittaway bay and no one there, after that went to Canton Beach but was put off by the closed road and SES vans everywhere!
Hey, I headed to Canton at 4:30 myself and got stuck in that traffic! I am actually going to start another thread about that, but there was so much wind that a roof had been blown off which was causing traffic delays.
I would have gone out at Canton but I was the only one there and it was so balistic that I thought it was too dangerous to go out by myself. I then went to Toowoon bay and all the kiters were sitting on the beach!
I work at Sanitarium Head Office mate, how about you?
I'm at an Engineering firm just behind Krone, it's a big struggle in the mornings sometimes when I get to the chittaway roundabout I could go right to get to work or hang a left and end up at chittaway bay! If the wind is NE I'll almost always check out the bay or Hargraves of an arvo. An office that finishes at 3.30?? Maybe I should work there!!!
yeah that would be sick with no wavebreak island, maybe we should just blow half of it up, while where at it lets fk the earths ozone up so that we get a consistant 20knots for the rest of eternity, yeah that would be sweet
