looking for a bit of feedback on strength of these boards
not a sledging session but for the dough expect some durability
converse, underground, ss srt, rocket fish etc
converse 6 0 very nice but looks quite fragile imho
rrd wave off super tough but too heavy
srt looks good - any snappage out there? underground?

I have used a watercooled 6'2'' tuflite surfboard with straps.
I can say that it is both very tuf, very lite and great value.
there is a heap of new wave boards out now/soon, North (2), naish(4), FOne(1), Cyclone(5) and prob a few others.

I use an Underground 5'8 tufflite and have ridden a few different polyester boards.
The construction of the Underground is really good and a great board to ride. The only downside (with all tufflites) IMO are the dings. A bit of sanding and a small dob of arildite will do the trick but dings seem to look a lot worse on tufflites than polyester boards.
Having said that, I think that I would have put a hole through a conventional board with my bar by now. The only telling feature of hitting the board with the bar is a 'snakey' in a couple of places.
By the way, if you do go with an Underground, upgrade the fins. I am not sure what type the new boards will come with, but I have replaced 4 sets of fins on my one. The new glass fins I have are a lot better. At the very least, have a spare set as Future fins are not as well stocked as FCS.
If you're going strapless, you may like to check out a normal tufflite in a surfstore. Theyre a good 300-500 cheaper.

How much was the underground? When they first came out they were like $1300 without pads and bindings....which is just ridiculous.
This is why I got my tuflite and put plugs into it.

Yeah theyre pretty pricey. Not sure about the new ones but mine cost me $1200 with footstraps.
I'm with you though...next surfboard will be a stock standard tufflite. Or a custom from Stone Surf in Gero!
Just on the polyester vs tufflite boards...there are heaps of crew on the east coast on stuey martin boards which I believe are polyester. Check them out

i got a delta antman epoxy
not standing up to the pressure-not that it was meant to
a few mates have put plugs in standard boards, no real problems maybe heel pressure
heard of a converse snapping 1st ot 2nd time out infront of the fins
wondered if srt any better, naish and north boards look interesting
future fins are good i reckon (marty at delta likes them), h2 fcs probably best but fcs system not as secure as futures
delta only doing polyester i hear as well

i don't think many people ride them outside of victoria (so you may not know them) but litewave boards are indestructible, and ride very nicely too.
the top of stonkers seem to mark up if you look at them the wrong way, the bottom of them aren't bad though.
