this is a great site BUT... can we keep the content relevant to the sport. If you want to engage in (non kite related) social exchange, then why not use Fbook or some other medium. Yeah! I like fun, party etc. but I don't think that this is a social forum about bands, party, and !@#$%^ photos, videos

Everything is relevant to this sport !!
Its good to talk about other schizt, pretty boring if all you talk about is kite surfing
You learn a lot about a person by what they talk about

This is a general forum FOR kitesurfers. How else is the community of kiters supposed to meet, greet and chat when we are all over the country.

Wow, that's a coincidence, me too! I'm having a little rest after a couple of hours of 20 - 25 knots, drinking a James Squire Pilsner, which is a very excellent beer, munching on the little crumbly corn chips left at the bottom of the packet, and listening to old instrumental reggae music, which I'm a bit of a fan of, is anyone else?

Oh, and I think cat's are little wildlife eating bastards and should be banned in Australia, and we should introduce some kind of Cat Flu to wipe them out.

When I was in Timor I met some guys from WA who use to catch cats and make them into what they called kitty compost, guess it would be good to put round your pussy willows

Yeah... big fan of Dub more than instrumental Reggae, up the bass and its all there... I like the Wackies Label they put out some good stuff like the African Roots series (on vinyl for the best sound too)

King Tubby
African Roots 1,2,3
Mad Professor
Lee Scratch Perry etc etc

Currently live in Brixton in London, its Jamaican central here and there are heaps of stalls selling masses of Reggae/Dub

Strickly Roots! Yeah Tubby, Scratch, Studio 1, Augustus Pablo, the Congoes, Rico Rodriguez, Jackie Mittoo, Niney and the Observers, Big Youth, Scientist, Burning Spear, Toots, Prince Far I, then there's Dancehall....General Echo, Michigan and Smiley, Pompidoo, Yellowman, Sister Nancy, anything on Blood and Fire, Soul Jazz, most Trojan, yeah, got the Wackies.....never really rated Mad Professor though.....

Feral Cat Killer is one of my fav sound systems, I think they're from Brixton innit?

20 knots and 25 degrees today, how's the weather in Brixton?

According to my weather gadget on Windows it's -3.1 degrees at Heathrow so say 0 in Brixton. Blue blue sky though....

Back in Melbourne for good on Friday!

I fell overwhelmed
LKJ was what got me into reggae when they brought out their first album.
I have an old documentary "dread beat and blood" on DVD with LKJ talking about the album and his influences. Classic stuff.
Pm me if you like i'll cut you a copy.

All the trojan music rocks, Lee Perry, kingstonians, Delroy wilson, The Upsetters, etc etc
Reggae was/is my thing.

Biddy biddy bong bong biddy bong bong beng beng! Now we're talking! Eek a Speeka! I love Eek a mouse, but most of my friends hate him. But Wa Do Dem know....
This thread's classic! I presume it was started in reaction to the "Metal Head Kiters" thread, and it's wound up a weird reggae love in....
A lot of this great stuff is available via a few great blogs, for you to have a listen and then drop into your local music shoppe and buy a copy if you like it naturally....

Nice one tobes. Got a new 2.1 setup arriving today for my mac, so will be needing some new tunes to test the bass on the sub. BTW; kite! (gotta keep the content kite-related).

It's just snowed over night here. Maybe there is enough cover on Brixton skatepark for me to go jibbing with my snowboard? Or maybe I'll take the kite and board to Clapham common ;-)

I think that's kite related enough.

Niney the Observer is o for awesome... Got a real nice bit of vinyl rarity of his sitting in Melbourne for when I get back. Best present a girlfriend ever got me.
