Just moved to Ulladulla. Enjoying the sic winter swells plenty at the moment, but I am looking forward to inevitable blown out on shore mess that will prevail come summer.

From what I am told, kiting is a pretty rare activity in this area. Hence, I am keen to know of anyone who likes to kite around this area and who wants to do down winders (kiting by yourself kinda sucks).

This is such a varied coastline here that to properly sample all these awesome waves on a kite, a down winder is necessary (2 cars at least required).

If you from the local area that's sweet, but if your from other parts further away then I would consider offering my couch up for a few days.

Let me know if your keen, cheers

my parents have a beach house at bawley pt so i spend a good part of winter down there whenevers theres a decent southerly swell on offer.

usually kite the beach 50m from my place in summer which is nice cross shore in a NE. winter at racecourse is ok in a SW if you catch it quickly before the swell picks up.

ill be there from the 8th of jan till mid feb next year so PM me if you want to kite. in 10years of surfing there ive only ever seen 1 windsurfer out on the water. never any kiters.

Excellent idea. Wait until the NE's kick back in. I'm up for it, I'm sure a few of your southern neighbours are too. Checkin out the whole murramarang coast.
Had a session at Green Island/Conjola yet?

Sweet, looks like it's on come summer.

Haven't had a session at conjola yet, only been here during winter so far. Is that flat water of waves?

I'm looking at the coast line from time to time trying to work out good coastline to do a down winder on (and that has waves). By 'good coastline' I mean not turn a headland and be caught in an dead offshore situation which is pretty common near this neck of the woods (i.e. rennies being offshore in a N'easter).

Any suggestions let me know, cheers

ive done lake conjola to narrawalle. its about 6km and crossshore most of the way.

to many rocky headlands and reefs to deal with at most of the other beaches.
