anyone kiting here?, whats the nearest hotel to stay in , where can you kite, how good are the winds in july, anyone know anything?, is there kiting near the airport or do you have to get to an island ??, thinking of a 4 day trip there in july

I was there 24th April for two weeks and the wind was light other than the day I left! Their season begins in June and I'd say the trade winds will be cranking by now. I stayed at Nomads Moorings which is excellent and a 20min mini bus ride to Hideaway island, the local kite beach. There's a break you can kite at too but I forget the name. Locals will tell you where it is. There are loads of other places to kite if you get out on a boat. I'd be taking a 12 and 9 meter kite.
The place is awesome, as are the people. It's a bit exxy for everything but Karva and all in all you'll love it I'm sure.

if you do a search over the last year there has been some stuff here .Do a search at kiteforum as well and kitebeaches
