tightlines said...I'm about to head out now at Mullaloo, but as Corey said earlier they have just installed a fence right along the beach which doesn't leave much room for error in a direct onshore, so anyone heading out there beware. The high tide mark at the moment is above the fenceline so I can't see it lasting for long but meanwhile it is an accident waiting to happen, not just for kiters, a couple of days ago I saw an old women get trapped against the fence when a big wave hit. I cannot see the reason for the fence other than to try and stop the odd sandboarder playing in the dunes, bloody irresponsible of the council if you ask me, and I will be letting them know.

Hi Tightlines,
I spoke to Joondalup Council about the fence that they had installed at Pinnaroo Point also when making our permit renewals last month. It is now the single most dangerous item on the beach by a country mile. I am going to speak again with them after it is washed away with the last of the winter storms

. It also is set within the wash out zone of winter

. Also spoke to them about summer rubbish bin positioning and have asked for consultation before they place them again this year.
Good luck with it down at Mullas, it's also not so bad when the winds are side shore and all the beach has returned, but needs to be addressed in any case for the first part of the season.
Good winds,
