Where is the best place to kite and what direction should the wind be? I am down on holiday for a couple of days and am hoping for a kite while here.

Try main beach - right in front of the surf club.
Or in Port Fairy; just ask any local to direct you to "peasoup".

thank puppetonastring, ended up meeting a few other holiday makers and got s couple of nice days in.
thanks for the advice. back in melbourne now back to the beach's i know and love.
