hey guys im heading to Perth at the end of jan 09 for a few months, buying a 1 way plan ticket atm.
and i know i need to buy a new kite so im going to get a switch blade IDS but im stuck between what size to pick up either a 6 or an 8

im 80 kgs and ride an underground 132
i got a SB 3 10 meter and a SB2 12
i just hate being so overpowered because u spend your whole time holding down the edge and completely sheeted out.. which is so bloody boring when all i want to do is jump and learn more tricks

i no Perth blows like 30knots + everyday, y cant the SB IDs have 7 meters =( (and forget the CB's im aiming for unhooked riding and big jumps =D ) lol

Dont know about it being 30+ knots here every day, more like 20-25.

My only kite is a 9m and its pretty much spot on for 80% of the kiting days here. (im 75kg)

I'd say go the 8, It would be rare to be over powered on it here in perth.

...sorry Mate...you missed the point...
...you wont get a lot of fun out or your 8m on a twiny after January.... you better look at a 10-12m kite with a good depower....or have your 8m on a 6 feet surf board.....
...I better disappoint you now for a smile on your face in February...

FYI I weigh 68kg, and I ride a 9m Cult 70% of time on a 5''3' board.
