A 8m SLE and a board around 128cm would do the trick!!!!

That's what my girlfriend rides nearly all the time.

gday mate

i am currently 48kg i ride a 5m bandit dos which is prob the equvilant to a 7m SLE
got two boards a 122 and a 126 and currently with the winds in perth (23+ awesome) im over powered alot of the time but i like to be over powered

if your looking for a great kite thats bomb proof go for the bandit DOS go for a 5.5m for the littlen and a 7m for the bigger one the boards really up to them if they like bigger board which most ppl need in there first stages of kiting then just down size the boards and sell the old ones to the begginers wanting to get in to kiting because theres always newbies lookin for a board

Hi,

I'm about 53kg ringing wet and I use a 8m Switchblade IDS and find that I can get out in 10 - 25knot of pressure. I'm on a North Paris girls kiteboard (123cm x 35cm). I use to be on a 9m Crossbow but much prefer the 8m switchblade as the bar preasure is lighter and hang time is better (I last longer!!). Good luck

If she puts on 20kg's she could ride a 12m kite and share a kite with you. It would save lots of cash

No, a guy is asking what size for his girlfriend. Its a little easier to keep your mind out of the gutter.

Hi Joel,

You should be looking at a kite with a nice light bar pressure and short bar travel distance to full depower so the girls don't have to stretch too far forward to fully depower the kite in gusts. I'd suggest Ozone, North or some ofhte suck kite with short travel.

For boards, she should be looking at something like the North 129 Paris to learn on and move onto a 126 Paris once she can ride. Both are awesome and she could get way with either probably depending on the wind range in your local area and also the water conditions.

The Paris boards come with smaller footstraps than normal and narrower stance to suit the smaller stature of a slight lady.

Maybe also check out the Airush Protoy 123 if you have the coin.

Good winds,

Should I ask what exactly inspired the board name 'Paris'?
And does that mean the Switchblade IDS suits a longer reach?

I am about 57kgs and i ride a 9m REV in 12-20+ knots. If they are learning (like me) a bigger board might be better! I'm using a 134cm BEST spark or a 5'9" strapped surfboard.

im 60kg and ride a 10m SB3 in 14knts - 30+ ktns but i wouldnt reccomend a 10m as in the stronger wind it is a lot harder. but you get awesome as hang time

Your thinking about this the wrong way Saffer, if she rides an 8m he gets a high wind kite .

Hi Joelz87

Advise them to get an 8 or 9M kite, Waroo, Cabrinha Convert, Slingshot Turbo3, Ozone 2009 Light 8M, Core Combat GT 9M, Airush Flow 8M etc, etc (these are just the brands I sell)
Nobile make a nice boards for females too, but the smaller Nobile NBL's work well too and also Cabrinha Prodigy 1.38, Caliber 1.27 or 1.30, Underground 1.24 or 1.28, etc, etc.
Like Kitehard said the kite needs to have good safety and short bar depower throw, begginers who are small/short also need to learn that they can let go of the bar or if they have let go of the bar they can easily get it again buy pulling in on the centre depower line with one hand and reaching up with the other to grab the bar.

Cya and

Goodwinds

because they would be learning , i would sugest a larger board than most of the guys are giving you to look at something aroung 135cm. planes much earlier and they can keep it later for there light wind board.
