yip i know the date clashes with the scabs wave event, sorry.
we have been planning this for a while too.
the weekend @ Woodies is aimed at famlies and newer kitesurfers for a social get-together,
the wave comp will be fun for sure ,but not everyone is up to that standard.
just hope we get nice wind for all

Do you guys reckon this gathering would suit a beginner who is still body-draging and can barely stand up on the board?

Rumour has it there's to be a race from south beach round the point & down to Coogee Beach
Ha ha - now that should interest a few takers
A bit of a challenge but not too hard for a lot of average level kiters
AND considering most of our hot-shots will be elsewhere it could be a real fun event - without the totally demoralising effect of being trashed by champions.

Thanks guys , its gonna be great! the wind looks good
we have at least 35 on the list so far.
more are welcome, still after all these years im not sure what a gathering of kitesurfers is called,is it a flock? a pod? A Gaggle?
what ever the case it should be a good flocken giggle
if you still havent made up your mind you can just turn up on the day and decide if you want to join in. Bring the wife and kids.
there should be enough give aways to ensure you get a momento from the weekend.
we have a big screen for dvds and turn tables in the evening
and a boat for skurfing and a few catamarans to use on sunday morning.
Around 1130 am on sunday i will hold a Self Rescue Course, all welcome.
its true, i want to hold a race from the south beach at Woodies to Coogee around 2 Pm Sunday , ill chat to you all on saturday night and invite racers.
For more details please call me on 0438382638
carve deep , fly high,

Well done Choicey on a great weekend and camp. It was a great opportunity to meet and party with some other really great people. For those who wanted to come but couldn't make it, there is a short write up being put on the WAKSA website which should be up shortly.
Regards
