i will try to go cheapo to check an island called Cuyo Island not islands east of Palawan this weekend hopingly...there have been a group we call the cuyo boys who frequent the island every yr. when the season's on in 4.0-6.0 flat conditions..if you wanted to windsurf abroad what do you want in an island namely; what type of acommodations(inexpensive, cabana type with basic necessities, peacefull town, a place to snorkel, local food, karaoke,silence, sunsets, local beer and women, etci just need to know what the majority wants so if i find a place that's inexpensive at a 2aus$/square then maybe it would be good enough to invest and start from there...hopefully later on the crowded windsurf/kiting area of boracay island would look for an alternative..for now i know there really is no nightlife but with a little brew and the local folk i think that's good enough to party for the nightowlsThis goes for the kiters as well....cheers and pls. google earth the island starting from the pier to the sandspit northwards said to be 5-7kms.

to live somewhere with constant wind from miday till sunset everyday.
a part time morning job that i dont really need cause im loaded.
a girlfriend who likes to spend her days on the windy beach taking photographs
a kite that depowers 100%, moves quickly through the window, is bladeless, has constant pull, does not invert, everyone else wants, and has long hangtime and no bar pressure
to live on the beach.

its not much to ask..

An island with flat water and 20knots on one side;

A six foot point break on the other side for a morning surf before the kite which occaisionally gets 15knots cross shore on it for when you are tired of paddling;

A cable ski setup on the other side with lots of kickers and sliders;

Top international bands visiting every night;

A brewery;

24 hour barbeque run by girls in bikinis;

Masage and physio....

typical if you ask me, i'd look for same anyways here's the island i will try to check:
www.google.com.au:443/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode&q=palawan&sll=-27.884001,153.349775&sspn=0.00899,0.020084&ie=UTF8&ll=10.837015,121.027451&spn=0.079916,0.160675&t=h&z=13

If you pan out on this one i think on a monsoonal season the southwest corner has shallow reefs which i think can have waves...and if you pan in the middle of town, i think i've seen lotsa women just sitting around none to dolook for the pier on the western side and since it's northeast winds during the season it's flat water till past the northern sand spit and no tall valleys or buildings...cheers
