where did that sliding spreader bar come from ?

does any one remember who did that sliding spreader bar, it was the one that slid all the way along the length of the bar.
I need to use a seat harness , which is crap for toe side riding & waves, so sliding bar seems the next best

Possibly you are after the Dynabar (below). If you google it you should get the site. I think it's made in Italy.



Could be good but looks a bit complicated and expensive. I have been using a sliding seat harness for about a month now and it is great in the surf - heaps smoother turns and better toeside - more freedom. Mine uses $2 worth of rope from the local boat chandler, a stainless D and a stainless clip hook from a local metal fabrication and hardware shop (about $15). I adjust it so the clip can slide right around to my hip on my toe-side. Need to tighten the rope the first 2 uses but after that it stays put and is simple and reliable to use.

No good if you want to unhook though

Simple, cheap and effective solution-now just gotta' work an unhooking version.....
