get a bow kite, something like a crossbow or similar - everyone reckons they're heaps heaps better than any old school obsolete 'c' shaped kite....u can even read about how much better they are and how everybody is converting to them on this forum.

9 times out of 10, the good guys as you put it will be sponsored ! and will push their kites as you & I would expect...

Find out who's not sponsored and ask them, bare in mind no one is going to slag off their own kite that they've paid good money for...

BEST advice is to ride as many as you can... Ask the rep's & shop's for demo's, if they dont do it, I would'nt purchase from them...

Try a Force 15m.
Similar to the fuel with a better bar setup and for a better price.

I would'nt agree with that... Have a look at ben, martin & Jeff, all wake style rider's absolutly killing it in the wave's ! not to mension the grandfather's of kiting, Lou & Elliot who introduced wake style to the world are now kicking it in big wave's...

Hey Hunglong

The standard yarga, what are its flying characteristics and what style of riding does it suit. Is it just a beginners kite or would it suit a intermediate kiter looking to progreess

2005 Yarga! With an aggressive design and profile, is a 5-line only kite.

This mid aspect design redefines performance and ease of use. Smooth power gives the newbie the confidence to go for it and the intermediate to advanced riders the ability to push themselves to the limit. The tight turning radius makes the Yarga perfect for kite loops and wave riding. Wake style riders will appreciate this kite's amazing stability. The Yarga's profile permits for incredible depower which helps the rider stay confident in gusty wind and allows for superior upwind ability. Whether it's your first day on the water or you're gearing up for the next contest, the Yarga's versatility will help you push the limits. No gimmicks, pure performance from the Best Yarga.

For 2006 we went back to drawing board. We took everything that made the Yarga great, as our inspiration, and mixed it up with the highest spec materials and design knowledge available in the kite-surfing industry.

Imagine a Yarga with even greater stability, more responsive turning, even higher jumping ability and unprecedented hang time. Our dreams have finally come true as BEST has taken the Yarga to the next level by applying Cuben Fiber technology to the best selling kite in the world. Cuben fiber is used selectively in the leading edge and wing tips allowing for a truly rigid, quick and responsive kite with lighter bar pressure and solid power throughout the wind window. Wave riding, kite loops and even free riding are more fun with the Yarga Pro, but don’t let the name fool you… The Yarga Pro is a user friendly kite that can be enjoyed by kiters of any skill level.
Imagine yourself ripping cutbacks on the face of overhead waves and pulling your favorite wake style tricks off butter flat water. The new Yarga Pro is as at home with you in the rough stuff as it is in the flat and because of the unprecedented amount of R&D and testing time that has gone into this ultimate mid aspect design, you can be sure that no matter what punishment you hand out, the Yarga Pro will keep you smiling long after the sun goes down.

Yarga Pro 2006 is now available for pre-orders and is scheduled to start shipping in early December.

The 2006 Yarga will be somewhere in between to two...

IMO, Torch 2 4 Sure
- Designed around 5th line
- Very well made (as are the Fuels)
- Flies faster
- Bigger windrange
- Perfect for unhooked riding
Will hold its value WAY more than a Fuel
if you are considering a fuel I would get a new or second hand '05 one not an '06 - my mate just sold his 05 Fuel in aewesome condition for $900 (5 lines, had it for 4 months)
Slingshot seem to sponsor a lot of kiters (good ones at that) but they sell their kites off real cheap every few months which means everyone who paid close to retail price for theirs is gonna lose a bit of $...just a warning

i buy my kites based on which kite has the most tuffest name.

See a Torch is not too bad - if its the flaming spiked medieval variety that you can swing around and set things on fire, although the newer flashlight versions that security guards use also are kinda tuff, and they can pack quite a wallop...but not as tuff as say a Slingshot. See a man with a Slingshot could take you down from a good distance away, specially if used in conjunction with marbles or lead fishing sinkers (henceforth David and Goliath) - yes, a formidable weapon is a Slingshot - but not as good as say a Crossbow, now that's damn tuff - those weapons could take u right outa the picture from over 200 meters and even if u got close enough to be a worthy challenge - he's probably got mates to back him up with both Revolvers and Switchblades who will knife you in the kidney or pop a cap in yo ass......weeestside.

So Crossbows are tuff, this we know - but then there’s Catapult’s – now that’s some serious artillery which can, if used right, take out a whole troop of crossbowers, switchbladers and revolverers, thus making it i think, the tuffest named kite on the market, used in conjunction with Ninja Stars and Hawks...i mean everybody knows u don’t fck with Ninjas with trained Hawks, no matter what, as they are way to cool and will always kick your ass anyway....I had considered getting a Boxer to have a go at a man on the Rhino...but that’s just stupid - who the hell would get in the way of any man on a charging rhino, cept maybe a pack of crossbow toting ninjas, although crazy as it sounds, i still believe that a Catapult could take out a charging Rhino, but you'd only have one chance to stop him and no time to reload....

Things i'd never buy would be like the Hellfish....i mean cmon...HELL ~ FISH <---- R U serious ?? A Fish from HELL !!! OOOHhh thats tuff !!!! "He used to be a goldfish...but he was BAD so his soul got taken by the Devil - but now he's back...back from HELL with one thing on his mind...its the HELLFISH, he's silver and pissed off and he's gunna kick your ass" pffft cmon.....and then there's yarga...wtf is a Yarga ?? i looked the word up and it has no meaningful meaning, also Liquid Force and Airrush have wussbag named kites - not even worth mentioning - cept maybe the M-80, that sounds pretty mean, like something used in s Rambo/Arnie flick, "get up there soldier and launch that M-80 now!!!!" - almost acceptable i reckon.

it's all in the name.

Devil, mate as soon as I've flown one my self I will let you know, also I'll ask some of the boyz to ride it and give their honest reviews...

However you did not ask for a review in your post ? you ask'd for the flight characteristic's ! and is it for all levels of riders. I could not find one from an unbiased rider as there isnt one yet as only the best riders have ridden them...
