Hello friends,
Wet season in Bali is pretty much unpredictable..
You can get 10 days of wind in a row and nothing for 1 month!
Last year we had 4 days quite ok from 25 to 28 of December and then zero till 15 of January.
You can check our FaceBook group "Kitesurf Bali" where i make a daily wind report of Sanur.
www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=63988066680

I started in May 2010 when we installed our weather station, I also make a monthly recap.
I suggest to bring a 11-12m kite or you can rent from the 3 locals schools.
Bye Jankie

because we always end up with Jankie posting about how it can be windy for ten days then nothing for months, when what he really means to say is, it is windy for ten days of the year and then no wind for the rest of the months of the year,
and when he says windy he means its windy if you're a fifty kilo indo kid on a 14m kite and a 152 twintip...

I try to be helpful..
I only reply to questions I know how to reply.
I put a weather station in Sanur at my own expenses to give real time wind reading!
I take time every day to write a report so that there are some real data on the wind here...
If my help is not appreciated then I can stop posting...
All infos are actually out there just a google click away or a search in this same forum!

Not sure what TheDoctor has against Bali as just a week ago called Balinese kiters Weird.... Maybe cause we like to help visitors instead of trashing them!!!
I know that in 2010 about 600.000 Australian visited Bali..
Maybe we do have something right!
Bye Jankie

someone should flush the toilet that is Bali.

Its full of floating turds {middle aged failed ex pats}

and dodgy javanese pimps/taxi drivers.

The wind sucks and it's now an overpriced 3rd world country. Bali is a SH**Hole and should be totally boycotted!

I mean nothing by it, hope tongue in cheek was not lost in translation.
Balinese kiters are weird, balinese people in general are weird
nothing wrong with weird, its how most people I know would describe my good self

but the last time I was in sanur the local boys were raving about 14kts, they were having a blast in the pond but not one of them was taller than my shoulder height or weighed more than 50kgs wringing wet and were riding a 14mtr ozone and the biggest twin tip I have ever seen... they were nice enough to offer me a go

as NoBS said, the 600 000 aussies that go there each year have ruined bali, better wind, better beaches and (lately) better waves when there is swell in australia
