Hey sunnycoasters,anyone been kiting out out the island the last few days? What the waves like there in south east and is there much wind shadow from the island.....cheers

Island is awesome, do it all the time. Works well as the wind usually is going the opposite direction of the waves so u get a great offshore effect. Some good smooth water there too.
I am keen for a dwinder this arvo. Hows northshore to yba or stumers? Good opp for u to try the island too.
yeah blownaway, go there all the time surfing and kiting. Was out there again on Sunday morning in the SE. The surf gets pretty choppy in the SE but there are still waves. You'll be surfing the left point break in the SE and then head back up wind to do it again. I live in Mudjimba so let me know if you ever want to kite down this end.
