I appreciate it's somewhat alarmist, but is there any way to get this information before you become a statistic? (ie http://www.taronga.org.au/tcsa/conservation-programs/australian-shark-attack-file/general-information.aspx)

There seems to be a new story in the news each day (eg www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21598,24890964-2761,00.html) but is there a site for current sightings/warnings anywhere?

That said, Scarbs was going off Saturday despite the morning closure (www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,27574,24868364-2761,00.html). There were more crew out, for longer, than any other day over the Xmas-New Year period.
