Hi all...
First time on SeaBreeze. Been KBing for 6 yrs and now on holidays in Sydney and KEEEEEN to KB :-) Thursday is looking good with a southerly and just checking what beach is best. Staying near Dee Why, so Dee Why, Curl Curl or perhaps south-side of Long Reef... ?
Anything I should know about kitting these waters... ?
Thanks guys (n girls :-) and hope to see you about midday on Thursday... let it blow :-)

Good luck!! have not had a good session on the northern beaches for a while now . Don't think Thursday will happen weekend is looking a bit better though . Long Reef for the Southerly would be the spot to go to.

Well I'll keep my fingers crossed that Thursday comes good and I'll be there if it does. If not, some weekend wind will still be welcome.
Thanks for reply...

Hey mate
Only moved to Dee Why at Xmas but consistently find that Botany/Sans Souci has 5 knots more wind than up here. Not sure why but does! Having said that it is not the most exciting place to kite but better than sitting on the couch.
I actually got a half hour session in down there today but was so cold and gusty I packed up to make sure I survived to kite another day.
There is a kite shop on the north side of long reef with lots of local knowledge (wind surf and snow I think) and they are very friendly or Kitepower down at Botany
Otherwise check out the locations on the NSW AKSA page
I'm working this weekend so won't be able to join you unfortunately
Cheers

Thanks for that, I'll check them out. I gave it a go yesterday too but was not exactly an enjoyable session. Oh well, better than working... and more wind on the way.
Thx.

Sweet had a little session after work as well wind was not that good but i'm still happy . There are some spots on the beaches to kite the west winds as well one of the spots you need two people or if your solo need to be able to drift launch, shallow water ,lots of trees . The other spot has a sea plane to watch out for, small launch area, shallow water and bushes to watch out for if you get stuck downwind . If you would like any more info PM me your number and i can fill you in .
