Spent a few days last summer with a few kiteboarding mates around Forster. We kited Smiths Lake in a Northeaster . Wind was quite gusty that direction as it comes over the North headland , we did manage ok cause the lake is shallow mostly waist deep but a Southeaster would be so much better there. We walked from the northern caravan park called Sandbar and launched where the sandspit is with beach on the east side , about a 700m walk . If you have a 4 wheel drive you can drive right up to the sandspit. If you can get onto some of these easterlies this week that place would be awesome. Cant comment on other places around there as I don't have too much knowledge.
