Kiting around Byron

Heading to Byron W/E after Easter. Not holding much hope for wind but will take my kites just in case. wanted to check if there are still kiters up there and where you are kiting? Thanks

There still plenty of kiters up here, but the winds have started to turn westerly. You can kite in a westerly at Byron but you need to be careful not to past the lookout/Pass. Most locals do not bother in westerlies they are always gusty. If its south Tallows works, and a short drive to Ballina you can kite in the river.

Managed to get lucky with a nice NEr at Clarke's . A great place to kite. Thanks to the friendly locals.

Any tips for this mid September? Despite forecasts looks like Clarkes/The Pass seems to pickup the northerlies a bit (and seemed like there was some today)
