Hey

My name is Bart, and I'm from The Netherlands.
And I'm trying to do an internship in Sydney for the period januari - june. I kitesurf a few months now and it's going great. but I want to buy my own kitesurf stuff, and take it with me, and ride with you guys .
But i need some info about the conditions in sydney. What kite, board size I need. I was thinking about the gaastra jeckyll 12 m and an fanatic mq queen. But how's the wind in sydney? I think i'll go to Botany bay. How's the wind there ? average in knots etc? flatwater or choppy? gusts ? And the weather, do i need a wetsuit in that period?
Some info about myself, i'm 1.70m and my weight is 65kg.

A lot of questions
but I hope you can help me out.

Hi Bart,

Wind in the Bay is About 15 - 30 knts in January. Please read the map section on Sydney at www.nswkba.com.au.

Also talk to locals and visit the Kitepower shop for info on the area. It is wise to talk to people before you go out. All the best and I hope you have some good winds and a safe time whilst in Sydney.

I only have a 12m, most I kite with have 12m plus some have 8m, 9m ,14m or 16m, we do "demo day" when wind is outside the 12m range. Wetsuit is good against jellyfish in Botany Bay, not a lots if you stay on your board... lol. Also, it might get cold towards May.
