SW or SE = Winda Woppa or Fingal Bay
NE = Shoal Bay, but this gets busy AF with swimmers at that time of year. If you don't mind waves the beach at Hawkes nest is awesome.

Wind range could be anything from 10 - 30kts, who knows?

Sorry this reply is probably too late but in case anybody was following it or it comes up in search Shoal Bay is not a good option the launch is straight onshore narrow beach deep water windshadow against a dune with trees on top aswell there are pedestrian access steps every hundred meters or so making it virtually impossible to lay out your lines without some pack of Bay rats popping out in front or behind you and chasing each other through your stuff. The bay crew generally launch from the west end of bagnalls beach for flatwater in a NE but for the most up to date info join the NEWKS port Stephens fb page its pretty good and run by the local instructor.
