The association is entirely run by volunteers located around the state.

It has info about how to join and discusses the aims of the association. When you join NSWKBA you also become a member of AKSA, so check out www.aksa.com.au as well. The cost is $60 per year and runs from 1st of October each year. You can join anytime but the membership finishes at 30th September each year, to coincide with the insurance policy.

The main thing people get from the membership is the $10M Public liability insurance, which is especially important when learning to kite.

Joining also gives you a great support network of other kiters. You get to meet and learn from great riders. As you know it is a challenging sport so the more info you can get from other kiters is vital for your safety and the safety of others.

We are trying to keep the community close so that people know each other and keep an eye on each other when they go out. Also you can get hints and tips on gear and riding styles from your fellow kiters.
