not sure if this is a stupid question or not but can one set of bar and lines be used on two different kites? ive got a 08 cab sblade12m and a 09 cab sblade 8m. the 08 actually has a set of bar and lines in almost new condition so wondering if i can use them on the 8 metre as the 09 lines are getting a bit on the old side as they were well used.

You probably can, but in the end you'll just wear out your second set of lines twice as fast.
Things to check...
- Check the bar length. (usually shorter for smaller kites)
- Run out both sets on top of each other and check the line lengths.
- Check that the safety systems work the same way. I don't know Switchblades well enough to tell you if/when they changed the safety system (IDS).

08 & 09 have different safety,s and as far as i know not compatible.
