Hi all I am a beginner 85kg with a 137cm Nobile t5 .
Would a new 2010 12m Naish cult be a good starting kite for me as I have the opportunity for a good deal.
cheers,

Heya,

I'm also new to the sport and i will suggest that you get lesson before you buy a kite. it would be a mistake not to.

12 meter is too big, though this depends on where your surfing. I'm 72 kg and use a 9m slingshot octane. It drags me where ever i tell it to no problem and it has a good wind range 15-25 knots

i got lesson before i bought the kite and it was defiantly worth it. some places will take the lesson cost off the purchase of gear so look around.

cheers

Thx Destine,
I too have already had lessons and don't you guys get heaps more wind than us in Vic?!So I am just setting myself up! and this kite with bar is heaps cheaper than what I could get it here for. it costs $900 complete and new!
So can anyone with experience please advise me.
cheers

i don't know much bout the winds yet, am still learning. BTW you should be on the beach now, looks like the winds are real good, we have a week of death here in perth atm :(

That's an awesome price!!! Have you spoken to your instructors about the kite?

Yeah Bullsta, IMO Cults are good all round kites for getting started... on a 137 you should get going in around 15 knots or maybe a touch less.
