Hi first post here, I'm just starting out kiteboarding I'm 70kg I have a 10m Rpm slingshot and a 12m cabrinha switchblade, have done a fair bit of wakeboarding but not railys etc just sliders and kickers and I surf so I have some board skills. have been looking at a 132cm 2010 slingshot lunacy because its a good price but I'm a bit worried it might not be the right board for me to learn on I've only had one lesson and havn't got on a board yet, but I don't want to buy a big board and then have to buy another in month or so. any advice or other board recomendations is much appreciated. also you can pm me if you have any boards sutable for sale, I live on the sunshine coast. thanx

The SS Lunacy is a freestyle board. Equals big rocker & very stiff. Great for sticking landings and when used in flat water the stiffness is not an issue. But for learning in anything but butter smooth water the chop will make this board difficult to control and uncomfortable.
The size is OK for your weight - good for beginner - but at 70 kgs you could go even smaller.
I'd be looking for a board with less rocker & more flex. They come in a class generally referred to as 'freeride'.

Um, puppet, the lunacys have stuff all rocker, the 2010s being even flatter than the later models - one of the flattest boards ever made other than the Nobile Shinn twins.

Bundydan - do not get a lunacy. It will frustrate the hell out of you as a beginner and there are now much better freestyle options as you advance.
