strange that he recommended the enduro over the catalyst... go last years catalyst and whatever freeride theyre hocking....
Your right, after doing a bit of research today I found the Catalyst and I actually emailed him and asked why they never recommended it. Haven't heard back yet.
ill answer that for you. because they have a enduro in your size and stock
also stops you from buying LAST YEARS catalyst as there was no enduro last year :)
when you sign up to be a retailer/distributor you basicly gotto sell x amount of kites a year. so they push theyre new stock for not just monetary reasons.
still get a 2015 catalyst. trust your research. i have had many many many older kitesurf students some much older then you grasshopper and i really find they are very content with just a catalyst.
what it is is a longer chord length (fatter kite) and nice gradual curved wintips. so the steering is nice grual and smooth.
if the kid still pushes for a enduro just say listen here squirt, cant you see im old? and im new to this sport? just let me have the easiest kite available to me. (the caty)
anyways hope that helps. stability in the air while your dicking around trying to put your board on will pay off more then the more height youll gain kitelooping it :)
oh and for record im not afiliated with any kitesurfing companys at all. i just know which kites my students over the years progress more on and why.
