Hi all,

Any tips replacing the depower line with no U pin adapter? It seems the new replacement kits don't come with them any more.

Cheers

You need: WD-40, two nails and a Hammer. Use two nails at the same time to hammer the pin out.

Great tip cbulota. Would you recommend blunting the end of the nail a bit? This is a genuine question...

Need a job? I've been looking for years for a carpenter that can knock in 2nails at once

Yep, so I had a crack at using the two nails, and no luck. It seems that it it's really stuck. I soaked out in wd40 and still no good. It is stuffed and I need a new iron heat or does anyone have any other ideas?

it can be hard especially if you're by yourself. Try to get someone to hold the chicken loop strongly in place while you hammer in, maybe use vises? It's gonna come out eventually, maybe you need to persist a bit more. Mine was really stuck as well had to have someone hold it in place and then it worked after a while.

Yeah, I had it in a vice today, have it a solid hour banging it. Bent a heap of nails due to smashing it. Hmmmmmm another try I guess, nails are cheaper than I new iron heat

I don't like the North tool they used to give you.

I used a small nail punch and tapped each side once alternating, I didn't hit it hard just worked it out gently.
